EVERYDAY LIFE WITH JESUS CHRIST

JANUARY 11, 2019.

1 Corinthians 6:19 KJV

“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?”

Which means that your life is a temple but you have to determine , whether it will be the Temple of the Holy Ghost or a den of unclean spirits. It is a pity that many Christians are carriers of unclean spirits instead of being a carrier of the Holy Ghost.

A temple is a place to be respected. You must must respect your body. Unclean things must not be allowed in your life. You are to live your life to the sweetness of He that you carry because He that you carry gets pleasure in the life you live.

So the life you choose to live is either giving pleasure to Him or provoking Him. When you allow rubbish in a place that belongs to God, He will pack His load and leave. And when the Spirit of God departs from a man, another spirit takes over – Like when the Spirit of God left king Saul, the Bible says an evil spirit entered him.

The throne of the temple of your life can never be vacant, Something must occupy the seat.

So, when you evacuate God from the throne in the temple of your life, something else takes over the seat. When the president is not around, somebody else must be on seat doing his job.

Likewise in the spirit realm, when we defile the Temple of God; when we are so careless and allow unclean things into our life – evacuating the presence of God, another spirit will take over.

A Temple is a place that has been consecrated to God. Isn’t it great that your life is a Temple to carry God ? That your life is described and referred to as the Temple of the Holy Spirit? God chooses to dwell in you.

Jesus confronted those in the temple when He found that it’s filthy – the people had a zeal for the house of God but no zeal for the God of the house.

When Jesus said, “I will destroy this temple and  build it in three days” they were provoked – it pained them to the marrow, They wanted to kill Him.

They had respect for the structure than the God that lived in the structure, The same thing we see in our days,  There are people ready to die defending their church that have never even embraced the God of the church.

These religious people in the case of Jesus were zealous for religion but had no time for God. They turned the temple of God to money changers place; to a market; to a place that does not glorify God.

They had respect for the structure but not for the God that lived there. And Jesus with holy anger pulled down what they were selling and said, “My house shall be called a house of prayer.”

Prayer : Every Strange Spirit ruling my temple , I cast you out in Jesus Christ name.
